Justice League Action – “Shazam Slam” Trailer

Featuring Damian O’Hare as John Constantine!

The world’s greatest DC Super Heroes are heading to Cartoon Network in the premiere of Justice League Action, an all-new animated series that will kick off with “Shazam Slam,” a four-part special event debuting, Friday, Dec. 16 at 6:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based on iconic DC characters, Justice League Action will premiere new episodes Saturday mornings on Cartoon Network, beginning Dec. 24.

In “Shazam Slam,” the villainous Black Adam battles Batman on the Rock of Eternity and unleashes a horde of Djinn determined to turn the Earth back to its pre-human, volcanic state. Affected by the otherworldly powers of these primordial monsters, Batman becomes possessed and is turned into a giant flying Batmonster laying waste to the Hall of Justice, with only Superman capable of taking the fight to the Dark Knight. One by one, the Justice League – with the help of Shazam (voiced by Sean Astin) and The Wizard (voiced by Carl Reiner) – must hunt down and defeat each Djinn in order to yet again save the world from destruction.

And indeed it’s true, Damian O’Hare is the voice of John Constantine in DC Entertainment’s new animated series

JUSTICE LEAGUE ACTION

and it’s exactly what it says on the label: DC’s Justice League and action. And Zombies. And tons of big names bringing the animated super heroes to life.

In completely different news, rumours has it that Damian is voicing John Constantine in a new DC cartoon series. Haven’t found anything about that yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

Damian O’Hare on TV: “Hell on Wheels”, tonight on ITV4

Starting at 10pm, you can see Damian O’Hare as Declan Toole in “The Search”, the Hell on Wheels episode where everybody is looking for Eva’s baby, in all the wrong places. CSI HOW, of sorts.

If… Cloning could cure us – Gallery Online

Back in 2004, the BBC aired the “If…” series, which dealt with a couple of “what if” scenarios like “If… Drugs were legal” or “If… We stopped giving aid to Africa”. There was even one episode called “If… TV goes down the tube”.  If!

In one of his early TV appearances, Damian O’Hare played Andrew Holland in the “If… Cloning could cure us” episode. After falling off a cliff, Andrew can’t walk anymore. A doctor tries to heal him by using stem cells from Andrew’s cloned cells. However, the clones are 19 days old and the legal limit is 14, so everybody ends up in court because 19 day old cell clumps are more important than an already living person.

Anyway, ten years later, I finally managed to get a hold of this episode, and so the O’Hare bingo card is now complete: there are now screencaps of all of Damian’s TV and movie roles available on the website!
