contest before the contest

apologies for lack of capitalisation. i’m currently one hand short of a  full set.

the traditional ambarussa yuletide contest will be announced on 6th december. but here is a contest before the contest for you:

one of the kind souls who provide me with tv schedules has sent me a riddle, and i don’t have a clue. two bags of marks and spencers butterscotch mints are at stake for me, so if you should have a clue what the following “news item” is about, please drop me a line. i promise choccies.

talking about stakes: this better not have anything to do with twilight. don’t make me summon spike.

Last week, pictures from the set of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” surfaced on the internet. They were taken by people living close to the set, and many fans were very excited to see the return of the RN. Greg Ellis, who had played Lt. Groves in the first movie and later donned the uniform of IKEA the EITC in POTC: AWE, had already confirmed his participation on Twitter. Groves is easily to identify on the pictures that have been posted. However, he was not the only officer on location, and the second looked rather familiar.

I received a number of mails asking me to confirm that Damian O’Hare will return as Lt. Gillette in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”. Hey, I’d love to know myself!

But please, do understand that I’m not in the position of confirming anything. This website is not an official source.

This website is still not an official source, but the announcement of Damian O’Hare’s return to “Pirates of the Caribbean” is now up on the agent’s website. Free drinks on the house! Woohoo!

I could have a look into my magic crystal ball, but all I’d learn is that I need to do some dusting… I don’t know more than anybody else who knows how to use Google. Please be patient; we’ll learn in time if it’s him or not.

PS: the locals taking photos of the set all stated that the production team didn’t chase them off and didn’t mind them taking photographs. So I’m not posting a state secret here.
