Good News: “Hatfields & McCoys” will come to Channel 5!

The good news is that “Hatfields & McCoys” will be aired over here in the UK. How well it will do on Channel 5 has yet to be seen.

Maybe they plan a “family evening” with Hatfields & McCoys/Dallas…

Damian O’Hare as Ellison Hatfield and Kevin Costner as “Devil Anse” Hatfield in “Hatfields & McCoys”.

No specific date has been mentioned yet, apart from the mini series being part of the “autumn line-up”.

Anyway. This hopefully means that a Region 2 DVD will become available. I’ll keep you posted.

Screencaps: Hatfields & McCoys, Part 1, Damian O’Hare as Ellison Hatfield

Every bullied child’s dream dad…

Enjoy it while he’s still alive… screencaps of Damian as Ellison Hatfield. He and “Cotton Top” Mounts (how sweet is Noel Fisher… aww!) are the only likeable character of the lot so far, but back then, “being likeable” was probably not that high on anybody’s list of priorities . The story is fascinating and the acting solid. Game of Thrones with guns.

Don’t miss part 2 tonight, on History Channel!

Hatfields & McCoys: New Videos and Character Biographies

Posted in hatfields & mccoys, previews, tv with tags , , , , , on 21 May, 2012 by ambarussa

New videos and biographies of the various characters are now available at the Hatfields & McCoys page over at History.com.

Your starting point to dive into the family history of the two feuding clans and watch some footage of Damian O’Hare as Ellison Hatfield in the process is

WHO’S WHO?

Due to the wonders of Flash it’s not possible to give you direct links, so here’s what to do:

You’re asked to pick a side: pick “Hatfields”. Click on “Ellison” to read the character biography.

“Devil Anse’s youngest brother Ellison is large and powerful and functions as a family peacemaker until tragedy strikes.”

Close the window and click on “Cotton Top Mounts”, and you can watch a video showing some footage of the show and interview bits with actor Noel Fisher. Cotton Top Mounts is the illegitimate son of Ellison Hatfield, so here’s where you can see Damian.

Cotton Top seems to be kind, innocent and he likes bunny rabbits, so by the logic of TV, he’ll very likely meet a cruel end.

Ouch…

For those of you who can’t get the video to work, here are some screencaps.

History Channel has released the first trailer for “Hatfields & McCoys”. Damian O’Hare plays Ellison Hatfield, and should be somewhere in there as well.

If that trailer should be down

WATCH IT HERE

According to the trailer, the series starring Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton and Mare Winningham, is “Coming Memorial Day”, means Monday, 28th May, 2012.

The song is “Bartholomew” by The Silent Comedy, btw. (I knew you were curious.)

While the Hatfields & McCoys battle each other, our host is still trying to fight off the worst DDoS attack in its history. While the site is now mostly up an running again, there’s still lagging and loading times might me longer. Thanks for your patience.
