Confirmed: Damian O’Hare will be in “Hatfields & McCoys”

Great news – it’s official! Damian O’Hare will be in the History Channel three-part mini series “Hatfields & McCoys”, playing Ellison Hatfield. Starring in the series about a famous feud between two families living along the border of Kentucky and West Virginia are Kevin Costner, Mare Winningham, Tom Berenger, Powers Boothe and many more. “Hatfields & McCoys” will be aired in 2012, no date available yet. The series is currently being filmed in Romania.

The story of the fight between the Hatfields and the McCoys seems to be very well-known and popular in the USA, but I admit that I’ve never heard of it before. But wikipedia is your friend. According to the wiki article, Ellison Hatfield was the brother of “Devil” Anse Hatfield, the head of the Hatfield family. “Devil” Anse Hatfield will be played by Kevin Costner, and it looks like Damian, sticking to tradition, will play once again a character who does not live to see the end. Well, we got used to it by now!

In lack of pictures, here’s a screencap from Damian in “Wild West: Billy the Kid”, to get in the mood.
